The II International Congress “Rosmedob 2023” took place from October 18 to 21. Three days of the conference were devoted to discussing various aspects of improving the quality and efficiency of medical education, from innovative learning technologies to medical accelerators. More than 40 speakers from all over Russia and other countries shared their achievements and experience in the framework of educational activities, ranging from higher educational institutions to practical medical institutions.
The International Medical Cluster (IMC), as one of the innovative educational platforms, this year became part of the Rosmedob association and took an active part in the congress.
Head of the MMK educational center acted as a moderator of two symposiums:
- “Science and innovation in medicine: how to effectively design educational programs.” The subject of discussion was the design of educational programs at the intersection of fundamental medicine and innovation. Key trends in biomedicine and entrepreneurship, success factors and necessary conditions for the formation of interdisciplinary programs, and the involvement of young doctors in research activities were discussed. Sechenov University, Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare, Skoltech, Siberian State Medical University and Tyumen State Medical University presented their experience;
- “Accelerators in the field of biomedical technologies.” The value of the discussion was the opportunity to look at the development of biotech and innovative companies from different angles: from the position of medical universities; medical institutions and doctors; industry companies and the startups themselves, demonstrating the importance of the interests of each participant in the process. The Center for Industrial Technologies and Entrepreneurship of Sechenov University presented their experience; Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians NMHC named after. N.I. Pirogov; cluster of biomedical technologies of the Skolkovo Foundation; Institute of Biomedical Engineering NUST MISIS.
The International Medical Cluster team made three presentations. Raul Rakhmatullin presented a report on the topic “Human-Centricity as a Trend in Healthcare Development” within the section “Business Education in Healthcare.” During the presentation, the relevance of the person-centered model of medical care as one of the components of modern medical care was discussed, and the experience of the MMK Foundation in the development of person-centered medicine in Russia was presented.
And Sevastyana Chistyakova spoke about strategies for recruiting and developing medical personnel in leading clinics as part of the section “Human Resources Management of Medical Organizations: HR Service or HR Department?”
Report Farida Mirzaeva was devoted to the transformation of professional attitudes of nurses through interactive teaching methods. He spoke at the section “Focus on results: modern tools and approaches in medical education.”

On the final day of the congress, a strategic session “Transformation of medical education” was held. The session experts were the Deputy Minister of Health Tatiana Semenova, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Badma Bashankaev and General Secretary of the Rosmedob Association Zalim Balkizov.
The strategic session was held in the format of thematic brainstorming sessions in working groups and allowed us to develop various options for road maps to solve key problems in transforming medical education.
