Financing for the construction of a 210-bed cancer clinic in Yakutia was included in the national Healthcare project. This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Fedot Tumusov, referring to the Director of the Financial and Economic Department of the Russian Ministry of Health Natalya Sibiryakova.
In 2018, window dispensary services in Yakutia were transferred to the building of a former maternity hospital. Thus, the authorities temporarily resolved the issue with the deplorable state of the institution. The conditions there, as the head of the republic put it, Aisen Nikolaev“did not meet any standards – neither medical nor universal.”
More than once they tried to include the construction of an oncology clinic in federal programs. In 2018, the first stage was completed – the reconstruction of the radiology department with 30 beds. A year ago, at the Eastern Economic Forum, the head of Yakutia promised the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin co-financing of the project in the amount of more than 5% in 2019, so that starting from 2020 this facility will be built at the expense of federal funds under the national project “Healthcare”.
noted that a decision has not yet been made on the construction of a cardiac clinic, which is no less necessary for Yakutia. “The situation with the cardiology clinic is more difficult, but we are also working and, I hope, we will achieve it,” he added.
