Coronary stents fell in price in government procurement over four years by 36.8% » Medvestnik

Roszdravnadzor, in accordance with clause 4 of the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 855-r dated May 12, 2015, regulating the procedure for public procurement of medical devices (MD) for coronary angioplasty within the framework of the state guarantee program, calculated the maximum cost of the specified MI by type. An information letter on weighted average prices for coronary stents and catheters for coronary angioplasty and thrombectomy was published on the regulator’s website.

The weighted average prices calculated by Roszdravnadzor act as a restrictive barrier in government procurement. It has been established that their cost in the government supply contract cannot exceed the previous year’s figure.

A steady downward trend in the maximum cost over four years was shown by both types of stents for coronary arteries.

Special conditions for government procurement of coronary stents are aimed at further developing the localization of foreign manufacturers of goods for cardiac surgery and cardioplasty in Russia.

According to Medconsult, at the beginning of 2018, the volume of the coronary stent market exceeded 7,854 million rubles, and the volume of purchases of products manufactured by Stentex LLC amounted to 417.28 million rubles.
