The heads of medical centers and paramedics in Kemerovo were accused of creating a criminal community


Two heads of Kemerovo medical centers and eight paramedics at an ambulance station are suspected of illegally dispensing potent drugs to addicts. At least 13 episodes of crimes related to the withdrawal of citizens from withdrawal syndrome at home for a monetary reward were identified.

A group of medical workers in Kemerovo is suspected of organizing a criminal community and a number of other crimes. The regional department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under articles on organizing a criminal community; provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers; illegal sale of psychotropic substances; forging prescriptions for obtaining potent substances, etc.

There are 10 people accused in the case. According to the NGS42.RU portal, these are two heads of Kemerovo medical centers and eight ambulance paramedics. They are suspected of illegally prescribing and dispensing potent drugs to people with drug and alcohol addiction: phenazepam, tramadol and Lyrica.

The investigation has already established that in January 2022, 28-year-old and 52-year-old heads of medical centers, who did not have a license to provide assistance in the field of “Psychiatry – Narcology” and were not doctors, united in a criminal community to obtain financial gain by providing services to people with withdrawal state caused by intoxication of the body with alcohol and other psychotropic substances. At least 13 episodes of crimes related to the withdrawal of citizens from withdrawal syndrome at home for a monetary reward were identified. To do this, they were injected with solutions containing medications, potent and psychotropic substances by drop method without carrying out diagnostic measures and observing the rules of medical care, including in emergency conditions, the Investigative Committee clarified.
