Appointed Deputy Minister of Health of the Omsk Region Olga Skripkina, reported the regional Ministry of Health with reference to the governor’s order. She is a fellow countryman of the new head of the department Artem Narkevich, who took up this post in November last year.

Skripkina is a certified expert in the field of state and municipal procurement. In 1996 she graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Technological Academy, in 2005 from the Krasnoyarsk State Technical University. Over the years, she worked in the Ministry of Social Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the administration of Krasnoyarsk, as well as in large medical centers: deputy head of the public procurement department of the Regional Clinical Hospital, head of the contract service of the Siberian Scientific and Clinical Center of the FMBA of Russia. For the last 3.5 years, she was the head of the government procurement department, head of the department for organizing procurement and legal support of procurement activities at the Krasnoyarsk Medical University. prof. V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky.

Appointed in November 2023 as the Minister of Health of the Omsk Region, 35-year-old Artem Narkevich graduated from this university in 2010, then completed residency and graduate school and worked for 11 years at Krasnoyarsk State Medical University, most recently as dean of the faculty. Former Minister of Health of the Omsk Region Alexander Murakhovsky remained to work as an adviser to the new head of the regional Ministry of Health.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of the Trans-Baikal Territory decided to accept people without medical education as directors of central regional hospitals (CRH). This need is caused by an acute staffing problem in the region’s medical institutions, MV reported. As part of the experiment, the director of the central district hospital will be solely responsible for the financial and economic part of the medical institution, and the chief physician will continue to deal with medical issues.
